The neighbourhood
Robina is the Gold Coast's largest master-planned community, built around Robina Town Centre, Bond University and Robina Hospital. Unlike the high-rise coastal suburbs, most of Robina is standalone houses on suburban streets, with a smaller share of townhouses and low-rise apartments — the result of decades of planned residential development rather than the older, organic growth you see closer to the beach. Cbus Super Stadium (Robina Stadium) sits within the suburb too, hosting AFL and rugby league fixtures that draw crowds from across the Coast. Robina Hospital rounds out the suburb's core services, and together these landmarks give Robina a genuine town-centre feel rather than the strip-shopping-centre model found in some other Gold Coast suburbs.
Because it was purpose-built as a residential and lifestyle precinct, Robina's streets are wide, its blocks are generally larger than the coastal suburbs, and there's a strong mix of established family homes, newer estates near Bond University, and townhouse clusters close to the Town Centre. It's a suburb people tend to move to for space and amenity rather than beach proximity, and it draws a lot of families and professionals who work locally or commute up the M1 rather than short-stay or holiday residents. The result is a more settled, lower-turnover community than the beachside apartment suburbs, which shows up in our jobs as more full-house moves with years, sometimes decades, of accumulated belongings.
Getting around
Robina has its own train station on the Gold Coast rail line and sits right beside the M1 Pacific Motorway, making it one of the easiest suburbs on our run sheet to get in and out of quickly, whether your move is local or heading further afield to Varsity Lakes, Mudgeeraba or up towards Nerang and Carrara. Wide streets and generous off-street parking make truck access straightforward across most of the suburb.
The Town Centre itself draws heavy traffic on weekends and around stadium event days at Cbus Super Stadium, so we factor that into timing if your street is close to either precinct. Robina Hospital and Bond University also generate their own steady flow of weekday traffic, which we account for on jobs near those precincts rather than treating the whole suburb as uniformly quiet. Outside of those peak windows, Robina is one of the more predictable suburbs we service for traffic, and its grid of well-planned arterial roads generally means fewer surprises than in older, less structured suburbs.
What we watch for on moving day
Most Robina jobs are driveway-to-driveway house moves rather than lift-access apartment work, so the main planning points are truck size for a family home's worth of contents and confirming there's clear driveway or street access, particularly on the newer estate streets where visitor parking can be limited. For the smaller number of townhouse and apartment jobs near the Town Centre, we check for allocated parking and any body corporate access rules ahead of time.
On stadium event days or busy Town Centre weekends, we build extra travel time into the schedule rather than risk being caught in event traffic, and for larger family homes we make sure the truck we send matches the size of the job rather than under-quoting and running short on space. Whether you're moving into one of Robina's established family homes, a newer estate near Bond University, or a townhouse close to the Town Centre, our team shows up with the right size truck for a house move and no surprise charges on the day. Many Robina properties also come with a garage, shed or side-access storage that adds to a standard three or four-bedroom estimate, so we ask about these areas up front rather than discovering them once the truck is already loaded.
